Our mission is to empower every Haitian to engage in business activities, no matter their location, with minimal resources, and regardless of their educational level, right within their own communities.

A brief introduction to who we are

Dieuseul Lorgeat

Hello, my name is Dieuseul Lorgeat. I was born in the Haitian district formerly known as Cité Soleil. Growing up, our neighborhood was dotted with numerous local shops, a common feature in Haitian communities. This arrangement was not only convenient for shop owners to make a living but also for residents to access essentials nearby.

Fast forward over four decades, after a five-year tenure at one of America’s largest retailers, working in roles ranging from packaging to delivery, we find ourselves perfectly positioned.

With the right skills in hand and recognizing a community need, we’ve decided to resurrect the tradition of small neighborhood shops in the American context. This led to the inception of Commudash.
